Advanced Sewing Techniques 303

This class will teach the student how to draft, derive and sew a complex, multi-layered garment from an original design. You will create the pattern in Tuka Design software, test it in muslin and then make it in the actual fashion fabric.
Some of the techniques that you'll learn are, how to derive linings, attaching and working with an underlining, boning, hand stitches, beading and more.
You can use the techniques learned in this class to make wedding gowns, tailored garments and period garments.
The prerequisite courses for this class are the successful completion of all the fundamental sewing classes or the equivalent as well as both CAD classes.
